Summary
The DATA project, or “Digital Administrative and Training Assistant,” is an initiative seeking to address the lack of strategic application of digital technologies in sports organisations. Its general objective is to equip sports clubs with the necessary expertise to fully exploit the potential of digitalisation. The project is designed to enhance the efficiency of sports training and activities, leading to improved performance in both professional and mass sports, while promoting participation in physical activity through innovative digital means.
To accomplish its goals, the DATA project is structured around several specific objectives, including identifying current digitalised practices and needs within sports clubs, designing and developing an innovative digital assistant App for managing and monitoring club training activities, testing new strategies for digital transformation, and actively promoting the importance of incorporating digital tools and practices. This initiative emphasises the synergy between education through sports and practical application, embodied and multiplied through the creation of the digital tool.
The project is a transnational collaboration aiming to build resilience and innovation in sports organisations across Europe by providing an accessible and comprehensive technological solution, particularly benefiting smaller and less resourceful clubs.
