Green Games is a 24-month initiative led by the Serbian National Olympic Committee, bringing together a diverse partnership of Olympic bodies, sport federations, and organisations committed to advancing sustainability in the sport sector. The project places strong emphasis on helping sport organisations embed environmentally responsible approaches into their everyday activities and events. By uniting partners from Serbia, Greece, Iceland, and the wider sport-for-development ecosystem, the project fosters a collaborative environment where knowledge, expertise, and innovative ideas can be exchanged freely.

Throughout its duration, Green Games serves as a catalyst for elevating the conversation around sustainability in sport, encouraging event organisers and sport staff to integrate greener practices and to rethink how sport can contribute to the broader ecological transition. The initiative also champions learning mobility, cooperation, and creativity within the sector, positioning sport events not only as competitions but also as powerful platforms for social and environmental change.
